Reference Materials

Information relevant to the procedure but not explicitly included in procedure steps should be included as reference material (Center for Chemical Process Safety, 1996).

Common practice is to have reference material located as a preface to the procedure steps, as an appendix, or in a remote location, based on the type of material.
