Verification/Validation

Verification is the process by which a procedure is confirmed to meet the specified requirements for the task for which it is written.

Validation is a testing process in which the procedure is utilized to carry out the task for which it is written.

After a procedure is drafted, verification and validation must both occur in order to ensure that it effectively aids the user in carrying out the task.
