Training
All workers who will perform the task for which the procedure is designed should receive comprehensive training on the task.
The training that workers receive should be provided by individuals who are intimately familiar with the task and can clearly articulate and demonstrate the process by which it is carried out.
In addition to the task itself, training workers on hazard identification and mitigation techniques and equipment, which includes safety systems and hazard pictograms, is critical to ensure safety (CCPS, 1996).
