Hazard Pictogram Knowledge

Workers should be trained on all hazard pictograms that they may encounter within procedures, as training improves people’s ability to understand and remember hazard pictograms (Wogalter et al., 1997). However, this does not ensure workers’ adherence to safety statements so training should not be used exclusively to support workers’ comprehension of safety statements.
